Mico….por fin!!!!

Hace muchos meses publicamos en internet la triste historia de Ringo y Mico. Dos hermanos con muy mala suerte, enfermedades y edad ya avanzada. Nunca pensamos que tendria final feliz. Pero esta vez nos equivocamos al menos en parte. Nuestro Ringo murió hace algunos meses. Su delicada salud y sus riñones no aguantaron mas y nos dejo. Mico se quedo en la protectora y le pusimos una nueva compañera para que no estuviera triste.
Pero esta semana pasada el milagro se realizo. Nuestro Mico se adoptó con una familia que ya tenia dos perros adoptados de El Cobijo: Guille y Excalibur.
Es increible la rapidez en que se esta adaptando a su nuevo hogar. Le encanta pasear y ya se sube en el sofa como si hubiera estado toda su vida en una casa.
Por favor , cuando vayas a adoptar acordaros de los perros mayores, con leishmania, con discapacidades pero sobre todo necesitados de amor!!!
Way back we published the sad story of Ringo and Mico, two brothers with health problems and getting on in years. We never imagined there would be a happy ending and Ringo ended his days at the shelter, sadly succumbing to his illness and leaving us several months ago. We found a new companion for Mico in the angelic Cloe and life at the shelter continued.
Then last week a miracle happened; Mico was adopted by a family who had already taken two of our other dogs, Guille and Excalibur. So not only has Mico found his forever home, he has done so with old friends to make settling in as easy as pie. And settle in he has; anyone would think he had spent his entire life sleeping on sofas and walking happily with his canine and human pack
If you ever think about adopting an animal, please consider our older boys and girls. They may not be in the best of health and their creaky joints may have seen better days, but they will reward your love a thousandfold. And who wouldn’t want that?(Translation:Catherine B.)

Vor vielen Monaten haben wir im Internet über die traurige Geschichte von Ringo und Mico berichtet. Zwei Brüder mit sehr viel Pech im Leben, Krankheiten und fortgeschrittenem Alter. Wir haben nicht mehr an ein glückliches Ende geglaubt. Aber wir haben uns zumindest teilweise getäuscht. Unser Ringo ist leider vor einigen Monaten gestorben. Es ging ihm immer schlechter und er ist letztlich an einem Nierenversagen gestorben. Mico musste danach ohne seinen Bruder im Tierheim zurecht kommen. Eine neue Mitbewohnerin im Zwinger half ihm, über diesen Verlust hinweg zu kommen.

Vergangene Woche ist dann ein Wunder geschehen. Unser Mico wurde von einer Familie adoptiert, in der bereits zwei Hunde aus El Cobijo ihr Glück gefunden haben: Guille und Excalibur.

Mico hat sich unglaublich schnell an sein neues Leben gewöhnt. Er liebt die ausgedehnten Spaziergänge und schläft mit allen auf der Couch. So, als ob er schon sein ganzes Leben in einer Familie verbracht hätte.

Bitte denkt im Falle einer Adoption auch an die älteren und kranken (z.B. mit Leishmaniose) und behinderten Hunde … sie alle wünschen sich vor allem eines: geliebt zu werden!(Übersetzung: Susi Ebenberger)
